Kelly Barge – Headteacher

Jeanne Mortarotti – Chair of Governors / Parent Governor – Date of Appointment  February 2018 Term of office ends February 2026
Jeanne has 4 children, 1 of them attending the school for the moment. She teaches French and Italian, her native languages. Teaching children has increased her interest into the education system and she strongly feels the importance to support the school into the major role it plays in a child’s life.

Connie Hurt – MAT appointed Governor – Date of Appointment October 2018 Term of Office ends October 2026                                                                              Connie Hurt is a qualified surveyor who lives locally and works for a large international oil company as a property manager. She is keen to use her financial and Health & Safety skills to contribute positively towards to her role as a governor.  She has 2 children, both of whom attended Horsington School and is married to the owner of a local garden centre.

Martin Holden – MAT appointed Governor – Date of Appointment May 2022 Term of Office ends May 2026                                                                                        Martin Holden is a Facilities Management professional who lives locally and works as a Director of Estates for one of England’s oldest Catholic Schools. He is keen to use his knowledge and relevant experience to support the school’s continued growth. He is married and is father to his 3-year-old daughter who will be joining the school in 2023.

Jenny Dickinson – Parent Governor – Date of Appointment November 2022 Term of Office ends November 2026

Sarah White – Foundation Governor – Date of Appointment February 2023 Term of Office ends February 2027                                                                                   Sarah lives locally; she is retired from a career in teaching and training. She is now working  for two charities which support families and children. Sarah’s Christian values ensure her enthusiasm for passing on to children a love of learning, coupled with curiosity and confidence. These enable children to engage with the world around them, and their fellow human beings, with respect founded on sound principles and spiritual well-being.

James Weston – MAT appointed Governor – Date of Appointment March 2023 Term of Office ends March 2027                                                                         James Weston runs his own local estate agency and has 3 young boys, two of which attend Horsington and as such has a vested interest in helping the school provide the best possible experience for its students and staff that it can. Using his experience in marketing and engagement with local communities to raise the schools profile and raise funds.

Irena Andrews – MAT appointed Governor – Date of Appointment July 2023 Term of Office ends July 2027                                                                    Irena is a qualified solicitor who lives locally.  Over the years she has developed a keen interest in the education system as a whole and, in particular, in Horsington School, which all 4 of her children attended.  She is looking forward to supporting the school by bringing all her relevant skills and experience to her role as governor.
