The Admissions Committee met recently to consider the outcome of the 2016-17 Admission Arrangements public consultation. There was only one comment received suggesting that a priority be included based on regular church attendance. This has been considered very carefully and the recommendation to governors is that the criteria should stand as per the consultation document.

While the sentiment is fully appreciated, it is felt that the Academy is better promoted and served as a fully inclusive school, wishing to provide for the local and then wider community, based on proximity to school.

The Admissions Committee requested that the Governing Body endorse this approach and agree to the 2016/17 admission arrangements as produced, subject to alterations to reflect statutory change introduced by the December 2014 School Admissions Code.

The Governing Body met on 24th March 2015 and agreed to the admissions arrangements as above.
