End of year letter from Chair of BWMAT Board
As we approach the end of the school year may I, on behalf of the Board, thank you all, in both the individual schools and the Central Team, for all your hard work in educating and developing the children entrusted to our care.
This has been a momentous year for the Trust as we have welcomed the eleven Bath Schools into the BWMAT and at the same time improved our SATS scores from in-line to significantly above the (improving) National Average. I know this has not been achieved without a great deal of hard work and collaboration between everyone involved in the Trust. I was impressed by the willingness of everyone to go the extra mile in all aspects of our activities.
I would also wish, on your behalf, to thank Philip for the outstanding leadership he has provided to us all; his professionalism, vision and creativity have been an inspiration to everyone, pupils, parents, governors, staff and trustees.
We say goodbye to a large number of people at the end of the school year; to those children and staff moving to new schools and jobs we wish you every success and trust you will feel enriched and prepared by your time at the BWMAT, together with a long and happy retirement for those finishing full time employment.
I wish everyone a great and relaxing Summer holiday and trust that the superb weather will continue after we break up. I look forward to seeing everyone returning in September, duly refreshed.
